OSPFv3.ProtoMgr.CreatAreaAggrNotMIBCfg

Description

An attempt was made to configure an area aggregate for an area that has not been MIB configured. An area must be MIB configured before an area aggregate can be configured. Implicitly created areas (such as those created by activating an interface in the area) are not suitable to hold area aggregates, they have to be explicitly configured first. The area aggregate will not be created.

Remedy

Send in a request to configure the area via the MIB, and then repeat the command to create the area aggregate.

Severity

Message Text

The area aggregate will not be created because the associated area has not been MIB configured. Areas must be explicitly MIB configured (rather than implicitly created by an interface activation) before area aggregates can be assigned to them. The solution is to configure the area by sending in a MIB request, which will replicate this area to the backup. Then resend the area aggregate MIB request. Area ID = %p1%
