lldp.FA.PeerModeCflct

Description

MLAG peers should be in the same fabric attach mode. This may indicate a transient condition, which can occur during configuration or boot of one or both of the MLAG peers. If the condition persists after both peers have been operational for more than the LLDP transmit interval (default 30 seconds), then one of the peers is likely misconfigured.

Remedy

All Fabric Attach (FA) devices start in client mode and communicate with other FA devices using LLDP. Transition to a proxy occurs when the client receives communication from a FA server. A FA server must be configured, either by creating a Local Tunnel End Point (LTEP) or enabling auto-peering; this configuration should be the same in both peers. The "show fabric attach elements" command will display a list of known FA devices, verify that the expected devices are seen by each peer.
