ip address (for the management port)

Syntax

• ip address {A.B.C.D A.B.C.D|A.B.C.D/X}

• ip address port {slot/port} {A.B.C.D/X}

• ip address port {slot/port} {A.B.C.D} {A.B.C.D}

• no ip address {A.B.C.D}

Command Parameters

{A.B.C.D A.B.C.D|A.B.C.D/X}

Assigns an IP address and mask for the management port.

Important

You cannot assign an address of 0.0.0.0/0. You can specify the mask in either dotted decimal notation or as a decimal number.
