display information about the RPs selected for a multicast group

The show ipv6 pim rp-hash command displays the following information:

Output field

Description

GRPADDRESS

Shows the IPv6 address of the multicast group. When combined with the group mask, it identifies the prefix that the local router uses to advertise itself as a C-RP router.

GRPMASK

Shows the address mask of the multicast group. When combined with the group address, it identifies the prefix that the local router uses to advertise itself as a C-RP router.

RP-ADDR

Shows the IPv6 address of the static RP.

HOLDTIME

Shows the hold time of the static RP. The value is 0.

EXPTIME

Shows the minimum time remaining before the static RP is down. The value is 0.
