enable learning {forward-packets | drop-packets} vxlan {vr vr_name} ipaddress remote_ipaddress

Description

This command enables learning a remote endpoint.

Syntax Description

forward-packets Forward packets with unknown source MAC addresses.
drop-packets Drop packets with unknown source MAC addresses.
vr VR/VRF instance the IPv4 address is configured on.
vr_name An existing VR/VRF name.

Default

VR-Default.

Usage Guidelines

The remote endpoint will receive unknown source frames and the address will be added to the FDB (forwarding database). The configured value is shown in “show virtual-network vxlan remote-endpoint ipaddress <ip>” command.

Example

To enable learning on a remote endpoint:

enable learning vxlan ipaddress 1.2.3.4

Platform Availability

This command is supported on the Summit X770, X670-G2, and ExtremeSwitching X590, X690, X870 series switches, and stacks with X590, X670-G2, X690, X770, X870 slots only.
