Extreme Network's legacy 802.11ac APs, running WiNG 5.9.x and WiNG 7.2.1 OS, use a third-party engine to detect top-level hosting applications along with the services these applications host. Once detected, administrator-defined rules that dictate how each traffic type is managed within a managed network can be applied. The Application Policies define these rules.
This screen displays Application policy related statistics on the selected AP. The total number of applications identified by the APs and the actions applied. The legacy APs are: AP7522, AP7532, AP7562, AP7612, AP7632, AP7662, AP8432, and AP8533.

Type | Displays the application policy type applied. |
Precedence | Lists the priority (from 1 - 256) for the application policy rule. The lower the value, the higher the priority assigned to this rule‘s enforcement action and the category and application assigned. A precedence also helps resolve conflicting rules for applications and categories. |
Action Hit Count | Displays the number of times each listed application policy action has been triggered. |
