Moving a Manager to a Different Unit in the Stack

Use the following steps to change the stack manager from the current switch to a new switch in the stack:

Using the movemanagement command, move the manager to the desired unit number. The operation may take three minutes or longer depending on the stack size and configuration. The command, in Config Stack mode, is movemanagement fromunit-id tounit-id.
Make sure that you can log in on the console attached to the new manager. Use the show switch command to verify that all units rejoined the stack.
We recommend that you reboot the stack with the reload command in Privileged EXEC mode after moving the manager.
