Configuration Overview
You configure LLDP (Link Layer Discovery Protocol) per port, and each port
can store received information for a maximum of four neighbors.

Note
LLDP runs with link aggregation.
You can configure LLDP per port.
-
Enable LLDP on the desired port(s) as described in Enabling and Disabling LLDP.
-
If you want to change any default timer values, see Configuring LLDP Timers.
-
Enable the SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol) traps and
configure the notification interval as described in Configuring SNMP for LLDP.
-
Configure any optional TLV advertisements as described in
Configuring Optional TLV Advertisements.

Note
By default, an LLDP-enabled port advertises the
optional system description TLV. By default, all other optional TLVs are not
advertised.
