A basic G.8032 interoperability with EAPS is supported wherein the G.8032 ring is configured as sub-ring ring interacting with the backbone EAPS ring.
When topology changes occur in the G.8032 ring, this initiates a ring flush in the EAPS ring. This uses the same methodology that EAPS uses today when STP requires a flush. EAPS then flushes all the VLANs in its domains.
When a failure occur in the G.8032 ring, the protocol handles it and open up the RPL link. A flush message is propagated to the EAPS ring if configured to do so using the configure erps ring-name [add |delete] topology-changering-list command.
