To configure the aging time for dynamic FDB (forwarding database) entries, use the following command:.
configure
fdb agingtime seconds
If the aging time is set to 0, all aging entries
in the database are defined as static, nonaging entries. This means the entries will not
age out, but non-permanent static entries can be deleted if the switch is reset.
To display the aging time, use the following
command:.
show fdb
Note
On Summit X460-G2 switches, FDB entries are aged in hardware, the aging
time is always displayed as 000, and the h flag is set for entries that are hardware
aged.
