Temperature Operating Range
On Summit family switches, if a switch runs outside the expected range,
the switch logs an error message, generates a trap, and one of the following actions
occurs:
- On a SummitStack slots, the reset/none option from
configure sys-recovery-level [all | none]
command determines the action that occurs.
- On Summit X430-8p switches, the device is shut down regardless of the recovery level,
and after reboot you are prompted whether or not to boot the switch.
- For all switches, other than the X430-8p, only a warning is logged and the switch
continues to run with the system state as "overheat." If the temperature increases further
into overheat condition, after the operating temperature exceed a further higher
temperature, the hardware resets the switch.
