Configuration Overview

If you want to use MPLS (Multiprotocol Label Switching) in a different VR (the default is
VR-Default), move MPLS to the appropriate VR as described
in Moving MPLS From VR to VR.

Create and configure the VLANs that will use MPLS.

Configure an MPLS LSR ID for each switch that serves as an
LSR in the network. (See Configuring the MPLS LSR ID.)

Add MPLS support to the appropriate VLANs. (See Adding MPLS Support to VLANs.)

Enable MPLS on each switch that serves as an LSR. (See
Enabling and Disabling MPLS on an LSR.)

Enable MPLS on the appropriate VLANs. (See Enabling and Disabling MPLS on a VLAN.)

Enable LDP on each switch that serves as an LSR. (See
Enabling LDP on the Switch.)

Enable LDP on the appropriate VLANs. (See Enabling and Disabling LDP on a VLAN.)

Configure an IGP, such as OSPF (Open Shortest Path First) or IS-IS, for the appropriate switches and VLANs.
