You can configure edge safeguard for loop prevention and detection on an MSTP (Multiple Spanning Tree Protocol) edge port. For more information, see Configuring Edge Safeguard.
Note
In MSTP, configuring edge safeguard at CIST will be inherited in all MSTI (Multiple Spanning Tree Instances)s.
In MSTP, an edge port needs to be added to a CIST before adding it to an MSTI.
