Enables and disables the new-root trap.
stpd_name | Specifies an STPD (Spanning Tree Domain) name on the switch. |
on | Enables the new-root trap. |
off | Disables the new-root trap. |
By default, the trap is enabled (on).
The new-root trap is sent when the new root bridge is elected.
The following example disables the new-root trap for the STP (Spanning Tree Protocol) domain r1.
configure stpd r1 trap new-root off
This command was first available in ExtremeXOS 15.7.1.
This command is available on the Summit X450-G2, X460-G2, X670-G2, X770, and ExtremeSwitching X440-G2, X620, X690, X870 series switches.
