Opens a Secure Shell (SSH) connection between two network devices

This command and its syntax is common to both the User Executable and Privilege Executable configuration modes.

Syntax

ssh <IP/HOSTNAME> <USER-NAME> {<INF-NAME/LINK-LOCAL-ADD>}

Parameters

ssh <IP/HOSTNAME> <USER-NAME> {<INF-NAME/LINK-LOCAL-ADD>}

<IP/HOSTNAME>

Specify the remote system's IP address or hostname.

<USERNAME>

Specify the name of the user requesting SSH connection with the remote system.

<INF-NAME/ LINK-LOCAL-ADD> Optional. Specify the interface‘s name or link local address.
