Disable a CLI User

About this task

Perform the following steps to disable users, such as rw, ro, l1, l2, and l3.

You must use an account with read-write-all privileges to disable a user.

Procedure

  1. Enter Global Configuration mode:

    enable

    configure terminal

  2. Disable the user:

    no username WORD<1-20> enable

  3. Verify the user is disabled:

    show cli username

Example

Disable a CLI user:

Switch:1(config)#no username rw enable
Switch:1(config)#no username m3 enable
Switch:1(config)#no username m2 enable

Display username information:

Switch:1(config)#show cli username
