Modify the Administrative State of an IP Interface on a VLAN

By default, the switch enables an IP interface after you configure the primary IP address. You can administratively disable, and then reenable, an IPv4 interface after you create it. For example, if you want to change the routing protocol configuration on the interface.

About this task

This procedure applies to the IP Layer and functionality for the VLAN.

The ability to create an IP interface in a disabled state in one step is available only using CLI.

Procedure

  1. In the navigation pane, expand Configuration > VLAN .
  2. Select VLANs.
  3. On the Basic tab, select the VLAN you need to modify.
  4. Select IP.
  5. Select the IP Interface tab.
  6. Change the AdminStatus value to change the administrative state.
  7. Select Apply.

AdminStatus
