disable | Disables stacking auto-discovery. |
enable | Enables stacking auto-discovery. (Default) |
Stacking auto-discovery is enabled by default.
For ExtremeSwitching X460-G2, X450-G2, and X440-G2 series switches, stacking auto-discovery allows a new switch, added to replace a node in a stack, to auto-discover its stack links, auto-provision its stacking parameters, and join the existing stack.
For ExtremeSwitching 5420 and 5520 series switches, stacking auto-discovery allows the switch to detect the type of cable inserted into the stack ports and automatically update the stack port speed while the switch is booting up.
To view stacking auto-discovery status, use the command show stacking-support.
The following example disables stacking auto-discovery:
# configure stacking-support auto-discovery disable
This command was first available in ExtremeXOS 30.3.
