Creates a tracking entry for the specified route. When this route becomes unreachable, this entry is considered to be failing.

Syntax Description


Specifies the name of a VRRP This command is available on the ExtremeSwitching X440-G2, X450-G2, X460-G2, X465, X590, X620, X670-G2, X690, X695, X870, 5320, 5420, 5520 series switches..


Specifies the VRID of the target VRRP instance. To display the configured VRRP router instances, enter the show vrrp command.


Specifies the IPv4 or IPv6 prefix of the route to track.


Specifies the length of the route's prefix.



Usage Guidelines

The route specified in this command might not exist in the IP routing table. When you create the entry for a route, an immediate VRRP failover might occur.



VRRP tracking is not supported on MPLS LSPs.


The following command enables IP route failure tracking for routes to the specified subnet:

configure vrrp vlan vlan-1 vrid 1 add track-iproute
