Enable Ping to a Virtual IP Address

Use the following procedure to enable ping to a virtual IP address. The default is enabled.

Procedure

Enter VRRP Router Configuration mode:

enable

configure terminal

router vrrp
Enable ping to a virtual IP address:

ping-virtual—address enable [vrf WORD<1–16>]

default ping-virtual—address enable [vrf WORD<1–16>]
Display the configuration:

show ip vrrp [vrf WORD<1–16>]

Use the data in the following table to use the ping-virtual—address enable and show ip vrrp commands.
