This message is displayed when an EAPS QueryLinkStatus PDU is received
This PDU is typically sent when a Fail timer expires. Check network topology if there is a legitimate failure in the network which is causing the fail timer to expire, or is it due to PDUs not being received in its alloted time. If it is the later, it could be due to misconfiguration of control vlan in the network, or congestion of control traffic in the network or within this switch. Could also be due to CPU being busy. In rare situations it could be a switch in the network with a hardware problem where control PDUs have stopped being forwarded.
