Setting the channel number in the hardware for the particular optic module failed on the specified port. This could indicate the optic module in the port does not support the optical wavelength associated with the channel number requested for configuration. Or, it could indicate a hardware problem with the optic module or with the port itself.
Check supportability information from XFP vendor and Extreme Networks. The problem may be resolved by retrying the operation.
