The EXOS software on the specified slot has logged a message of severity 'Alert'. This event is due to a problem that should not happen during normal operation. The EXOS software handles a wide range of responsibilities, like protocols, control plane and device management, to name a few. Many different messages and causes map to this one EMS event.
Look to the message that accompanies this event for a description of the underlying problem. You will often find other related, and relevant, events before and after this one.
