  • Use Secure Copy (SCP) to transfer the files from the switch. If you use FTP, ensure you transfer the files in binary mode. Do not transfer the files in ASCII mode.

  • After you download a core file from the switch, extract it to ensure it downloaded correctly and completely. If you receive errors, download the file again.

  • Do not delete the core files from the switch until Technical Support confirms that they can read the files.
