Configures the addresses to which BOOTP requests should be directed.
ipv4 | DHCPv4 BOOTP Relay service (default). |
ipv6 | DHCPv6 BOOTP relay service. |
ip_address | Specifies an IP address. |
vrid | Specifies a VR or VRF name. |
If you do not specify a VR or VRF, the current VR context is used.
If you do not specify DHCPv4 or v6 BOOTP Relay service, DHCPv4 is used.
After IP unicast routing has been configured, you can configure the switch to forward DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol) or BOOTP requests coming from clients on subnets being serviced by the switch and going to hosts on different subnets.
To configure the relay function, follow these steps:
The following example configures BOOTP requests to be directed to 123.45.67.8:
configure bootprelay add 123.45.67.8

This command is available on the Summit X450-G2, X460-G2, X670-G2, X770, and ExtremeSwitching X440-G2, X590, X620, X690, X870 series switches.
