Configures the administrative state of an MSDP (Multicast Source Discovery Protocol) peer.
all | Enables all MSDP peers. |
remoteaddr | Specifies the IP address of the MSDP peer to configure. |
vr_name | Specifies the name of the virtual router to which this command applies. If a name is not specified, it is extracted from the current CLI context. |
By default, MSDP peers are disabled.
You must use this command to administratively enable the MSDP peers before they can establish peering sessions and start exchanging SA messages.
The following example enables an MSDP peer:
enable msdp peer 192.168.45.43
