Configures the denial of service protection alert threshold.
packets | Specifies how many packets in an interval will cause an alert. |
The default is 4000 packets.
This command configures how many packets received in an interval will cause a DoS protection alert. When an alert occurs, the packets are analyzed, and a temporary ACL (Access Control List) is applied to the switch.
This example sets the alert threshold to 8000 packets:
configure dos-protect type l3-protect alert-threshold 8000

This command is available on the Summit X450-G2, X460-G2, X670-G2, X770, and ExtremeSwitching X440-G2, X590, X620, X690, X870 series switches.
