Removes a user-defined STPD (Spanning Tree Domain) from the switch.
stpd_name | Specifies a user-defined STPD name on the switch. |
N/A.
If your STPD has the same name as another component, for example a VLAN (Virtual LAN), we recommend that you specify the identifying keyword as well as the name. If you do not specify the stpd keyword, an error message similar to the following is displayed:
%% Ambiguous command: "delete Test"
In this example, to delete the STPD Test, enter delete stpd Test.
If you created an STPD with a name unique only to that STPD, the keyword stpd is optional.
The default STPD, s0, cannot be deleted.
In an MSTP (Multiple Spanning Tree Protocol) environment, you cannot delete or disable a CIST if any of the MSTIs are active in the system.
The following example deletes an STPD named "purple_st":
delete stpd purple_st
