Spanning Tree Protocol Commands

This section describes the commands used to configure STP (Spanning Tree Protocol). STP helps prevent network loops, duplicate messages, and network instability.

Note

STP is enabled on the switch and on all ports and LAGs by default.

Note

If STP is disabled, the system does not forward BPDU messages.
