Orchestration Mode for Checkingpointing MLAG Port Configuration
With MLAG, the port configuration for the MLAG member links must be identical on the MLAG peer switches. To reduce the configuration complexity and to minimize the risk of inconsistency, you can use orchestration mode so that any configuration commands are now checkpointed to the MLAG peer switch.
After entering this orchestration mode, like the existing virtual-router mode, the configuration prompt changes indicating that commands issued are within this context:
(orchestration bottom) X670G2-48x-4q.4 #
NoteEnabling orchestration mode on both MLAG peers at same time is not recommended. If orchestration mode is enabled on both MLAG peers and you execute commands on both switches at same time, the switch may abort execution of the command.
For information about the orchestration commands, see Configuring MLAGs.
NoteIf you need to have different settings on each MLAG peer (for example, IP addresses), you need to perform those configuration steps outside of orchestration mode.
