Configuring MLD Snooping
-
To configure the timers that control MLD operation, use
the command:
configure mld query_interval query_response_interval last_member_query_interval {robustness}

Similar to IGMP snooping, MLD snooping is a Layer 2
function of the switch. It does not require multicast routing to be enabled. MLD snooping
keeps track of MLD reports, and only forwards multicast traffic to that part of the local
network that requires it. MLD snooping is disabled by default on all VLANs. If MLD snooping is disabled on a VLAN, all MLD and IPv6 multicast
traffic floods within the VLAN. To enable MLD snooping, use the command:
enable mld snooping {vlan name}
