Configuring Flow Monitor Collectors

A Flow Monitor collector must be created before it can be configured. To create a Flow Monitor collector, use the create flowmon collector collector_name command. The collector_name can contain up to 32 characters.

Up to eight external collectors are supported. The created collector must be configured before it can be added to a group, and a collector can be used by many groups.

Note

Note

The system will reject any attempt to create a collector that already exists.

To export flow records using the Flow Monitor, you must first configure a collector. To configure a collector, use the configure flowmon collector collector_name command.

Most of a collector‘s configuration cannot be changed or deleted while the collector is added to any group. You can change the refresh time at any time.

If any of the specified parameters cannot be set, or if there is an error honoring the configuration request, the configuration command will be ignored. While this scenario will affect configured parameter values, the state of the UDP socket might not be affected.

To delete a Flow Monitor collector, use the delete flowmon collector collector_name command.

Note

Note

The system will reject any attempt to delete a collector that does not exist.
