There is no profile hierarchy, which means users must verify there are no conflicting rules in static and dynamic profiles. This is a normal requirement for ACLs, and is standard when using policy files or dynamic ACLs.

When the switch is configured to allow non-persistent-capable commands to operate in non-persistent mode, the switch configuration related to the non-persistent commands is not saved to the configuration file. This behavior enables the ports to return to their initial state when a reboot or power cycle occurs. You can view the configuration changes made by non-persistent commands through the application's show commands, but the changes do not appear in show configuration {module-name} {detail} .
