BGP Config Discovery Optional TLV

LLDP BGP Peer Discovery is an extension to LLDP from the IETF BGP LLDP Peer Discovery draft. The TLVs advertise BGP information that is used to discover BGP peers. The TLV is advertised when Auto-peering is created. LLDP BGP Config consists of a single TLV with multiple sub-TLVs within the TLV.

Name Comments
Peering address Advertises the local IP addresses used for BGP sessions. When Auto-peering is created, this advertises the IPv6 link-local IP address of the system.
BGP local AS Advertises the BGP local Autonomous System (AS) numbers. When Auto-peering is created, this advertises Auto-peering's AS-number.
BGP identifier Advertises the local BGP identifier. When Auto-peering is created, this advertises Auto-peering's router ID.
Session group-ID Advertises a value to identify a BGP session class or category.
BGP session capabilities Advertises the capabilities of the BGP session.
Key chain Advertises the key chain name used for BGP session authentication.
