disable bgp neighbor [remoteaddr | all]

Description

Disables the BGP (Border Gateway Protocol) session.

Syntax Description

remoteaddr Specifies the IPv4 or IPv6 address of a BGP neighbor.
all Specifies all IPv4 and IPv6 neighbors.

Default

Disabled.

Usage Guidelines

After the session has been disabled, all the information in the route information base (RIB) for the neighbor is flushed.

This command applies to the current VR or VRF context.

Example

The following command disables the BGP session:

disable bgp neighbor 192.168.1.17

History

This command was first available in ExtremeXOS 10.1.

This command required a specific license in ExtremeXOS 11.1.

Support for IPv6 was added in ExtremeXOS 12.6 BGP.
