enable iproute mpls-next-hop

Description

Enables IP forwarding over MPLS (Multiprotocol Label Switching) LSPs for the default VR.

Syntax Description

This command has no arguments or variables.

Default

Disabled.

Usage Guidelines

This command enables IP forwarding over MPLS LSPs for the default VR. When enabled, LSP next hops can be used to tunnel IP traffic across the MPLS network. By default, IP forwarding over MPLS LSPs is disabled.

Note

Note

You can enable the use of LSP next hops, or you can enable DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol)/BOOTP relay. The software does not support both features at the same time.

Example

The following command enables IP forwarding over MPLS LSPs:

enable iproute mpls-next-hop

This command is available only on the platforms that support MPLS as described in the ExtremeXOS 22.2 Feature License Requirements document.
