enable isis
Description
This command enables the specified IS-IS router process on the current virtual router.
Syntax Description
area_name | Specifies the name of the IS-IS router process to be enabled. |
Default
Disabled.
Usage Guidelines
If no
area name is specified, all IS-IS router processes on the current
virtual router are enabled. Once a router process is enabled, IS-IS
PDUs are sent and processed provided that the following conditions
are met:

The router process has a system ID and area address configured.

At least one associated VLAN interface has IPv4 or IPv6 forwarding enabled.
This command has no effect on router processes that are already enabled.
Example
The following command enables the IS-IS process named areax:
enable isis area areax

This command is available on platforms with a Core or Premier license as described in the ExtremeXOS 32.2 Feature License Requirements document.
