configure vm disk bus-type
Description
Configures the virtual machine's (VM‘s) disk bus or controller.
Syntax Description
vm | Specifies VMs. |
vm_name | Specifies the name of the VM. |
disk | Specifies disk configuration. |
bus-type | Specifies configuring the disk bus type. |
bus_type | Specifies the disk bus type (default is VirtIO). |
Default
The default is VirtIO.
Usage Guidelines
This command allows you to configure the VM‘s disk bus or controller. The default bus type is VirtIO, but some operating systems are do not support this, and as a consequence, the VM will fail to boot. In this case, you can configure the bus type to IDE or SCSI.
Example
The following example configures the VM "vm1" to the bus type to IDE:
# configure vm vm1 disk bus-type IDE

Platform Availability
