Viewing virtual neighbors
View virtual neighbors to view the area and virtual link configuration for the neighboring device.
Before you begin
Change the VRF instance as required to configure OSPF on a specific VRF instance. The VRF must have an RP trigger of OSPF. Not all parameters are configurable on non-default VRFs.
Procedure
- In the navigation pane, expand .
- Click OSPF.
- Click the Virtual Neighbors tab.

Area |
Specifies the sub-network in which the virtual neighbor resides. |
RtrId |
Specifies the 32-bit integer (represented as an IP address) that uniquely identifies the neighbor router in the autonomous system. |
IP Address |
Specifies the IP address of the virtual neighboring router. |
Options |
Specifies the bit mask that corresponds to the neighbor options parameter. |
State |
Specifies the OSPF interface state. |
Events |
Specifies the number of state changes or error events that occurred between the OSPF router and the neighbor router. |
LsRetransQLen |
Specifies the number of elapsed seconds between advertising retransmissions of the same packet to a neighbor. |
HelloSuppressed |
Specifies whether hello packets from the neighbor are suppressed. |
RestartHelperStatus |
Specifies whether the router is acting as a graceful restart helper for the neighbor. |
RestartHelperAge |
Specifies the remaining time in the current OSPF graceful restart interval, if the router is acting as a restart helper for the neighbor. |
RestartHelperExitReason |
Specifies the outcome of the last attempt at acting as a graceful restart helper for the neighbor. |
