The first virtual IP configured on a VRRP interface is the primary virtual IP. After you create a VRRP interface, you can create secondary virtual IPs. Use the data in the following table to use the Address List tab.

Add a Secondary Virtual IP for VRRPv3

The first virtual IP configured on a VRRP interface is the primary virtual IP. After you create a VRRP interface, you can create secondary virtual IPs.

Before you begin

  • Create primary and secondary IP addresses on the VLAN.

  • Create a VRRP instance on the VLAN.

  • Configure a primary virtual IP.

About this task

Secondary virtual IP addresses must be in the same subnet as a Secondary IP Interface on the VLAN.

Procedure

  1. In the navigation pane, expand Configuration > IP.
  2. Select VRRP.
  3. Select the V3 Interface tab.
  4. Select an interface, and then select AssociatedIPAddr.
  5. On the Address List tab, select Insert.
  6. Type the IP address.
  7. Type the prefix length.
  8. Select Insert.

Specifies a secondary virtual IP addresses.

Specifies the prefix length for the secondary virtual IP address.
