Cisco Discovery Protocol

This section describes how to enable and configure the Cisco Discovery Protocol, used to discover network topology. When enabled, the Cisco Discovery Protocol allows Cisco devices to send periodic PDUs about themselves to neighboring devices. The Cisco Discovery Protocol is also used to manage the Cisco module of the Convergence End Points (CEP) IP phone detection function described in Convergence End Points (CEP) Phone Detection Commands.
