set vlan name

Use this command to set or change the ASCII name for a new or existing VLAN.

Syntax

set vlan name vlan-list vlan-name

Parameters

vlan-list Specifies the VLAN ID or a range of VLAN IDs to be named.
vlan-name Specifies the string used as the name of the VLAN (1 to 32 characters). Diacritical marks are not supported.

Defaults

None.

Mode

All command modes.

Example

This example shows how to set the name for VLANs 7-10 to green:

System(rw)->set vlan name 7-10 green
