This chapter describes the Open Shortest Path First Version 3 (OSPFv3) set of commands and how to use them on the S- K- and 7100-Series platform. For information about configuring OSPF, refer to Open Shortest Path First Version 3 (OSPFv3) Configuration in the S-, K-, and 7100 Series Configuration Guide.

OSPFv3 is an advanced routing feature that must be enabled with a license key on the K-Series platform. If you have purchased an advanced license key, and have enabled routing on the device, you must activate your license as described in the S-, K-, and 7100 Series Configuration Guide in order to enable the OSPFv3 command set. If you wish to purchase an advanced routing license, contact Extreme Networks Sales.| Activating your advanced routing license, and enabling OSPFv3 with the ipv6 router ospf command is required if you want to run OSPFv3 on the K-Series device. All other tasks are optional. |
