set security fips mode

Use this command to enable or disable FIPS mode on the device.

Syntax

set security fips mode {enable | disable}

Parameters

enable | disable

Enables or disables FIPS mode on the device. The default value is disable.

Defaults

None.

Mode

All command modes, Super User.

Usage

This command puts the switch into Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS) mode. FIPS mode is a mode where only FIPS approved authentication and encryption algorithms and methods are used.

Example

This example shows how to enable FIPS mode for this device:

System(su)->set security fips mode enable
This command will reset the system.  Are you sure you want to continue? (y/n) [n]?n
