Enable Perpetual PoE on a Port

About this task

Perform this procedure to enable Perpetual PoE on a specific copper port of the switch. After you enable Perpetual PoE, you must save the running configuration file.

Procedure

Enter GigabitEthernet Interface Configuration mode:

enable

configure terminal

interface GigabitEthernet {slot/port[/sub-port][-slot/port[/sub-port]][,...]}
Enable Fast PoE on the copper port:

poe perpetual-poe-enable [port {slot/port[/sub-port][-slot/port[/sub-port]][,...]}]
Save the configuration file:

save config
