Enable VRRP Global Variables

Enable VRRP global variables to enable the VRRP function.

Before you begin

To perform this procedure on a non-default VRF, you must first change the VRF instance. For information about how to use EDM for a non-default VRF, see Select and Launch a VRF Context View. All parameters might not be available in non-default VRFs.

Procedure

  1. In the navigation pane, expand Configuration > IP.
  2. Select VRRP.
  3. Select the Globals tab.
  4. Configure the required features.
  5. Select Apply.

Use the data in the following table to use the Globals tab.

Indicates whether the VRRP-enabled router generates SNMP traps for events.
  • enabled—SNMP traps are generated

  • disabled—no SNMP traps are sent

The default is enabled.

PingVirtualAddrEnable

Configures whether this device responds to pings directed to a virtual router IP address. The default is enabled.
